When Jun stepped out of the car in the car park, he walked towards the large steps to The Battle Tower, struggling to get past the large crowd that was following him.
He could hear so many people shouting at him.

'Oh my god it's him! He's Palmer's son!

'Hey Jun! Is it true that you'll be replacing Palmer as the new Brain?'

when he reached the top of the steps, he seen his father walking outside from the automatic doors. The crowd backed away slowly as Palmer walked out.

"Jun my boy, you've made it just in time…like always!"

Palmer gave Jun a pat in the back while telling the crowd to move back down the steps a little further.

"Congratulations son"

"Thanks a lot dad, I really owe it all to you!"

"No don't thank me...thank yourself for all your hard work over the years as a trainer. Now…the Sinnoh Now Lady and her camera crew are running a bit late, but they said they will definitely be there for half eight. "

"Well I just hope they do be here in time, because if they don't..."

"…Um Jun I think they'll be early, because if they don't then the news report will be all messed up."

"Oh, yeah you're right, sorry, by the way what's up with the huge crowd?!"

"Oh yes, well the news isn't hardly going to be a surprise, lots of people within this area now know about you as the new brain at the Battle Tower."

"Oh…right..."

Meanwhile, a white van showed up parked right beside Jun's car. It had the 'Sinnoh Now' logo on it. Some of the people in the crowd started to walk towards the car park.


"Oh! It's them! Ok Jun this is what you're going to do, just go with all the questions ok and just relax, be cool with it, enjoy your moment of fame son!"

"I sure will dad, I'll do it for you, for my family and for Freya!"

The Sinnoh Now lady stepped out of the van with her camera crew and walked quickly towards the steps.

"Hello, its so nice to meet you Jun. As you may know I'm the Sinnoh Now lady, my name is Rhonda! We will begin our interview in a couple of minutes, ok Jun?"

"Yeah that's fine!"


Back in the Fight Area Freya inserted her tape and pressed record quickly on her remote. She then sat down on the sofa and sipped some tea.

"Hi everyone, we are here in the Battle Frontier just outside the Battle Tower for a very special live report! Here we have the owner of the Battle Tower, who is known as the Tower Tycoon. It's Palmer!"

The crowd behind her starts to cheer loudly.

"And, we have his own son beside him oh they look so identical!  Its Jun!"

The crowd cheers again


"Jun!"
Freya quickly walked towards the front of the TV and sat down, like a child when it's favorite cartoon or TV show is on.

"Now as some of you may know the rumours about Palmer being replaced by his son Jun, well guess what people ITS TRUE!"

The crowd cheered even louder

"Ok so now I'm going to talk to Jun first, so Jun, how do you feel about becoming the new Frontier Brain of this Battle Tower?"

Jun could feel the warmth and dampness of his sweaty hands leaning against his jeans.
After a few moments of silence, Jun got his mind back on track.

"Well ya know of course its going to be a bit hard at first, getting adapted to this new life as a Frontier Brain and…trying to be the best you can be…"

"Mmhm" nodded the news reporter.


"…but, I'll be fine! I know for myself that I'm great and I think its just going to be a really great experience for me and I've always wanted to be something important all my life…
you know...when I was younger, I wanted to be the strongest trainer in the world…which I've now matured and realize that its not quite possible haha! but I have become one of the strongest trainers in Sinnoh and now… I'm here!"

Dawn heard Jun's voice from her TV and quickly turned around from grooming her Lopunny to see Jun on the TV.

"Oh my god its Jun!" she ran over to her chair and sat down to watch the Tv.

Freya was still watching Jun, giving him encouraging words.

"Jun! That's the spirit honey! Be confident of course you're great!"


"Wow this is getting really good, now I'll talk to Palmer now, so Palmer why have you decided to retire so early? Was it because you wanted Jun to have this experience as a Frontier Brain while he is still young?"

"Yes that's exactly the reason, I've been a Frontier Brain for almost 20 years now and I think its just the right time for my son Jun, to take over for me now."

"Well guys you know that's just really…exciting news for you both, but what are you going to do now Palmer? Will you be starting a new journey?"

"Well, I'm not leaving here just yet, I will be training my son and I will still live here, but maybe in a couple of months I'll start to come back to Twinleaf town to my wife."

"Oh Oh Oh! So you're not leaving here straight away after all! Well that's good to know. Well anyways, any last words from our new frontier brain? Is there anyone at home that you want to say hello to?"

Jun quickly jumps in front of the camera man

"Of course I want to say something, especially to my lovely girlfriend Freya, just look forward to tonight, because there's a Frontier Brain coming home to you, love you baby!"

Jun blew kisses to the camera while Freya pretended to catch the blowing kiss from the TV.

The crowd cheered loudly as Jun jumped for joy. Champagne bottles were even popping as the celebration began.

"Wooo am I getting a bit feverish or is it starting to get hot out here
Well folks, there you have it, Jun the new Frontier Brain of the Battle Tower! I'm Rhonda here and you are watching Sinnoh Now!"  


Freya immediately pressed the stop button of her remote and lay down on the couch, day dreaming about what she just had seen.

"He was so great on TV, I wonder if I should call him or maybe call him later since he'll be busy…I'll call him later."
Freya then took a nap.



Meanwhile inside the Battle Tower Jun was doing his first Battle Frontier Battle, with Palmer watching him up on the seats.

Jun was facing a young boy with dark, black spiky hair and brown eyes. The little boy reminded him of Ash somehow, the thoughts of him traveling with Ash came into his mind and the battles that they did together. The young boy looked to be about twelve years old.

The referee came out in the middle of the battle field and shouted out
'This is a three on three battle with no time limit, Pokemon trainer Karl verses the new Tower Tycoon Jun!
LET THE BATTLE BEGIN!"

The young boy sends out his first pokemon

"Okay Torterra you're first!"


Jun then takes out his first Pokemon and says to it while being in the pokeball,

"This is your first official Frontier battle, please try your best...Empoleon come out!"

Empoleon came out from its pokeball.

"Okay Torterra use Giga drain!!!"

Torterra came gave out a green light and energy quickly came from Empoleon's body and was transferred into Torterra.

"Jun do something quick!" Palmer shouted out.

"Empoleon quick, use Hydro pump!"

Water pumped out of Empoleon's beak and shot out on Torterra, stopping any more energy being taken from Empoleon. Torterra was sent flying way back a bit further from the battle field.

"Wow…this new Frontier Brain is really tough, even with a disadvantage to my Torterra."

"Okay Torterra use Hyper Beam!" shouted the trainer.

"Empoleon, Hydro Cannon!"

Both Torterra and Empoleon were charging up their power, then they both released it at the same time causing a big ball of light, followed by a massive explosion.
Many people were coming in to the indoor stadium to watch the battle.
Most of them were cheering and encouraging Jun to win.
When the dust and smoke cleared up from the explosion Torterra lay down on the ground knocked out, while Empoleon was struggling to stand up.

"Torterra is unable to battle, Empoleon wins!" the referee held up a green flag, that pointed towards Jun.

"Torterra return!...ok Luxio you're up next!"

"Empoleon, great job rest now…ok Heracross go!"




While Jun was battling, Freya woke up from her sleep
"Oh no, I forgot to ring Hikai!" Freya quickly ran over to the phone that was on the kitchen table and dialled Hikai's house number.

"Hello, This is Hikai! Sorry I can't take your call right now because ya know I'm quite busy or I'm out somewhere, so please leave a message after the beep!" *BEEP*

"Hi Hikai! Its me Freya, just wanted to tell you some big news that just happened when we arrived here, I might  just tell you now. First of all, Jun is now the new Frontier Brain of the Battle Tower! And he was in the news about an hour ago…ok I'll chat to ya later Hikai. Bye!"

Freya put the phone down with a sigh, "Oh Hikai, couldn't you not have gone shopping later…just a great time to go now." Freya sat down on the sofa again. Just then the phone rang.

"Oh it must be Hikai!" she quickly ran over to the phone and answered it

"Hi Hikai! So did you weren't away doing your usual shopping spree eh? So much…"

Freya was interrupted by a young female voice

"Uhh Freya, its not Hikai…or whoever you were talking to, its me Dawn!"

"Oh hi there Dawn…so did you watch the news?...or do you have to cough up a million dollar fine..Haha!"

"Nope! Luckily I don't have to pay him hehehe! I watched the news and I must say that Jun was sooo confident and did really well at the interview with Rhonda."

"I know, I'm soo proud of him, even Palmer is, I just hope Palmer will do well on his new journey."

"Yeah... well anyway Freya are you still alone at the house?"

"Yep, I'm still a loner! I hope Jun comes home soon or I'll be ready to explode! I just can't wait to see him!"

"Yeah me too."

There was a sudden silence when Dawn said the last words.

"…uhhh what do you mean 'me too'?

"I just thought that I should visit you guys when Jun comes home, is that ok?"

"Oh sure, it would be great to have someone else to join the party afterwards, you can come over anytime you want to Dawn."

"Well ok! Freya, I'll see ya later on!"

"Ok Dawn, see you later bye!"

At the Battle Tower Jun had won his first battle as a Frontier Brain, everyone in the crowd cheered at Jun, even the trainer who had lost.

After the match when everyone had surrounded Jun, the little boy walked over to him "Wow Jun, you really are the best!"

Jun was touched by the boy's words

"No, I'm not the best; I wouldn't have won if it was for my father, Palmer."

Palmer noticed Jun and walked over to him

"Well my boy, you have definitely have gotten tougher since the last time we met."

"Thanks dad, but I still need to get tougher." Jun looked at the boy again

"You did a great job Karl, keep up the hard work and you'll get the Silver Print in no time!"

"Yeah, I'll beat you next time! See you around Jun!" Karl walked away

"Ok Karl, see ya!" Jun waved to the boy

"Soooo what do I do now?" asked Jun

"Well if you want to celebrate then do what you want!"

"Oh yeah, I was going to call Freya and come home to her, but maybe I'll just stick here for a while, since I did say that I was going to come home to her later."

"Well that's fine son…now, I have a meeting with the other Frontier Brains, I think you might have to come too Jun."

"Where are we going?"

"Just to the main office in the Battle Tower, that's where our meetings are."

"Oh ok..."

Jun's cell phone started to ring and Jun quickly answered it.
"Hello?"

"Hiiii Juuuun! I saw you on TV! You were great!"

"Oh Hey Dawn! So you watched me!"

"Of course!....So Jun are you doing anything later on?"

"Uhh well I have to go to a meeting with my father and the other Frontier Brains."

"Oh...well, maybe afterwards I could come over there to see you, if that's ok?"

"Sure Dawn, it's perfectly fine with me if you want to come over. I think we will probably go and party somewhere afterwards...so yeah, you can come over too!"

"Really? Yay! Thanks Jun! So what time will you be finished?"

"I don't know, but I'll give you a ring to tell you when ok?"

"Yeah that's great! Bye Jun!"

"Goodbye"

Jun put his cell phone away, while Palmer stood there watching him.

"Was that Dawn, Jun?"

"Yeah, it was, she might join us for a party later on."

"What about Freya?"

"Freya might not want to come all the way over here, besides I have the car."

"Well why don't you drive over to your house and pick her up?"

"Because I said I'll come back to her tonight, we'll have our own party back at the house."

"Oh, well anyway Jun let's go" Jun followed Palmer back to the main office.
