The way I see Deviantart today.


Too many flame wars....So many hatred....too many greedy people desperate for subscriptions, popularity and gift art...

Is this what people want these days?
Do people even care about the actual art?
Is it all about fandom?
Is it all about claiming characters as your boyfriend/girlfriend?
Is is all about hating?
Is it all about trolling?


Is this what Deviantart is all about?









...No...



People keep forgetting that Deviantart, is an art COMMUNITY for those who want to share their art around the world and meet lots of new people. People are abusing Deviantart and I see many of them!

Deviantart... is not a website for popularity contests.
Nor is it a site for saying hateful comments to each other...
In some cases, it's over a fictional character...that doesn't exist, therefore, ISN'T REAL!
So you can't go spending the rest of your life, trying to marry a fictional character, he/she isn't here to say that they love you, honey XD
I actually want a real boyfrend in this life, I don't know about others that want to marry a computer while they loathe, complain and throw insults at other people for liking the same character.

Pathetic, and very low...for most people who are over 13 years old...you're not 5 year olds ( well I hope not! XD )


You don't gain popularity through stealing art, copying and begging. Do you want to know why most people are popular in Deviantart, do you?
It's because of their natural, raw talent! Not because they asked for it,it's because they worked their asses off for it!

And as for people who constantly beg for subscriptions all the time. You don't need one to be happy, it also isn't linked to being popular either. I don't understand why people think it is.
I had a subscription once, and yes I did enjoy my time with it, but once it went away I didn't make a journal entry saying something like "ZOMG MY SUBBIE IS ALMOST GONE!"
...Just anything for a subscription, people would do anything...do people even appreciate subscriptions actually given to them without asking for one? I do, people have PAID for it after all, it's MONEY!


I've been in Deviantart for two years. During my first year, all of the people that I met were so friendly, all of the popular artists were respected for their art, and I didn't meet any attention seekers...

Now it's all changed, since new people joined Deviantart, chaos has arrived. I've never experienced and witnesses such hated in my life before! In situations like someone starting a fight with another person, the other person fights back with defence while the hater plays the 'victim' and people take sides...I seen this go on with my friends and I hate it!

I really can't stand people who take sides all the time and just want my friends to be banned!
Even if you don't know the whole fucking story, you just have get yourself involved in everything and then that gets you into more trouble! Just quit it if you know who you are, I'm not directing this to my friends or watchers, I'm directing it to people who licks ass to people all the time, like they are some kind of servant or slave to them.

I just learned that there are so many cruel people in this site, just like how there is in real life.
But of course, all good things happen to bad people, maybe because they're disguised as good people?
Some people just don't know what 'good people' are really like, until you've experienced it yourself.

As for fandom...Let's just say that many 'fans' are obsessed.

They are so obsessed, that they think it's ok to go and insult and show hatred to other people simply because they like the same person! Then go as far as saying that they are the best fan in the world? THERE IS NO SUCH THING!
All fans are equal. No fan is better than the other, simple as that. Anyone who argues that fact, is a bit immature to think that way...

Alot of fictional characters mean so much to people, they can make alot of people happy and are amusing. I draw alot of my favourite characters and I'm even a bit attracted to some of them, but I leanred that it's ok and natural to feel that way, I will soon grow out of it and I hope most people eventually will...I would hate to imagine what it would be like if they won't...
But I respect alot of people who love characters, I'm a fangirl myself, but I do not respect or appreciate people who hate other fans...I said this numerous times.
Will people ever listen to me and start to realise that hating on someone for that reason is wrong?

I also noticed that alot of my watchers, have stopped talking to me and stopped looking at my art. What is it exactly? Is it because I draw Pokemon more than Sonic? or is it something personal? Anyone who hasn't talked to me and has read this journal, please tell me why. I started to get so friendly with alot of people and then they're gone, it kinda upsets me a little bit because they were the ones who have cheered me up after having bad incidents...





I just feel that, Deviantart isn't safe anymore


Sometimes I would even consider leaving or taking a REALLY long break from Deviantart to escape the craziness that Deviantart is going through now.
But I've got friends here and I do appreciate and love them alot


and I wouldn't do that because I know people like my artwork and I'm happy doing what I do. Draw art, help people, appreciate art, make friends...I'm happy with all that.







I just needed to let this all out, it's been going through my head for a very long time now. I will contine to do what I love doing.
